“The IOW Music Festival exhibition brought a new and enthusiastic audience into Swansea Museum, following on from and re-inforcing the success of other rock related exhibitions. It was an evocative look back at an iconic time in music. Its success with us was undoubted, and certainly ranked as one of the leading attractions in our programme of innovative displays” said Roger Gale, Exhibitions & Events Officer of Swansea Museum.

Pilot Festival Exhibition

at Sheffield’s Clock Tower Gallery

From February – March 2010 – Clock Tower Gallery, Northern General Hospital, Sheffield

We first embarked on our Festival Experience exhibitions by staging a pilot event at the Clock Tower Gallery in Sheffield early in 2010. This proved to be a resounding success and was a preliminary to the keenly awaited 40th Anniversary Exhibition to commemorate and celebrate the 1970 Isle of Wight Music Festival, which was staged later in the year at the Julia Margaret Cameron Trust’s Photographic Museum, Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater on the Isle of Wight.
